Research Activities

I am currently working on validating metabolic enzymes as anti-microbial drug targets in infectious pathogens. I use advanced metabolomics, molecular biology and systems pharmacology methods to discover novel drug candidates and investigate the mode of action of pre-clinical drug candidates.

Techniques/Expertise

Molecular Biology, metabolomics and biochemistry.

Disease Models

P. berghei mouse model for malaria, Trypanosoma spp.

Genetically Modified Organisms

Plasmodium spp. ; Trypanosoma spp.
